    1: Sponsorships

The Shiny New Directors Network is a subscriber career platform for new directors in the commercial production sector.

There's weekly Q&As with hard-to-reach Industry VIPs, including advertising agency studio producers, brands, reps, curators and producers.

There’s also roadmaps & resources, and other filmmakers to hook up with.

Under-represented directors can now get sponsored to join the Shiny New Directors Network for free.

Every time a production company or ad agency join Shiny, they get to sponsor a new director, who they choose from Shiny’s list.

To get onto the list for sponsoring, directors just need to complete this short questionnaire

Sponsored directors get 12 months free access to an amazing resource and personal connection with an industry production company.

    2: The Shiny Awards

Representative scouting: Our scouting focuses on new directors from under-represented groups.

Shortlists: All high-scoring videos are shortlisted for the quarterly awards. Then selections are made taking into account categories of gender, ethnicity, ability, age & economic upbringing, to better support diverse representation of new talent. Our shortlists are at least 70% under-represented directors.

We think we're the only awards to apply quotas.

Entry judges: We research and invite entry judges across categories of gender, ethnicity, ability, age & economic upbringing.

Awards judges: We research and invite guests across categories of gender, ethnicity, ability, age & economic upbringing.
